1/4" Quick Connect Color Coded Spray Nozzles — All Sizes
From
$5.25
Color coded 1/4" quick connect spray nozzles in the full range of flow ratings and spray angles. Select your size from the dropdown — everything from 2.0 GPM residential up through 12 GPM commercial output.
The color coding is universal across the pressure washing industry, which is the whole point of it. Red is 0 degrees, yellow is 15, green is 25, white is 40, and black is the low-pressure soap nozzle. An operator can grab the right tip by sight without reading markings, which matters when you're switching nozzles repeatedly through a job.
What each color does: Red concentrates everything into a pencil jet for stubborn staining and spot work — aggressive enough to etch concrete, so keep it moving. Yellow gives high impact on a workable path, the standard for heavy concrete. Green is the most versatile, balancing coverage and force for general cleaning. White covers ground quickly with gentler contact, suited to rinsing and softer surfaces. Black runs at low pressure to draw chemical through a downstream injector.
Orifice size has to match your machine's actual flow output. A tip rated below your GPM drives system pressure up and strains the pump; one rated above it bleeds off pressure and costs you cleaning force. This is the single most common sizing mistake in pressure washing.
Spray tips are wear items, and they fail quietly. Grit passing through at high pressure gradually erodes the orifice, which widens the pattern and drops impact force long before the tip looks worn. A machine that seems to have lost pressure very often just needs fresh tips — check those before you start diagnosing the pump.
Quick connect fittings let you change tips in seconds without tools, which is what makes running four or five angles through a single job practical. Grime Task Force stocks the complete range so you can build a full set matched to your machine.
Frequently Asked Questions
What do the colors mean? Red is 0 degrees, yellow is 15, green is 25, white is 40, and black is the low-pressure soap nozzle. This coding is standard across the industry.
Which GPM rating do I need? Match the nozzle to your machine's actual flow output. Using a rating below your GPM raises pressure and strains the pump.
Why won't my black soap nozzle draw chemical? Downstream injection requires low pressure to create draw. If you're running a high pressure tip, the injector won't pull chemical at all.
Can I use a red 0-degree tip on wood or siding? Not recommended. Zero-degree tips are aggressive enough to etch concrete and will gouge wood or damage painted surfaces.
How do I know when a nozzle is worn? Reduced impact, a visibly wider spray pattern, or streaking. Replace as a matched set rather than individually.
