Comet P40 Softwash Skid — CRX208 Engine, New Style
$1,899.00
A new-style Comet P-40 softwash skid powered by a CRX208 engine. Built for roof cleaning, residential and commercial softwashing, delivering high volume at low pressure.
Softwash is a different discipline than pressure washing. Instead of using pressure to blast contamination off a surface, it applies cleaning solution at high volume and low pressure and lets the chemistry do the work. That's what makes it the correct method for asphalt shingle roofs, painted siding, stucco, and any substrate that high pressure would damage — and it's why softwash systems use diaphragm pumps rated around 300 PSI rather than the 3000+ PSI triplex pumps found on surface cleaning rigs.
The CRX208 keeps the cost of this build lower than a Honda-powered equivalent while providing the power the P-40 requires. For crews adding a dedicated softwash unit to a fleet that already has pressure washing capability, that cost difference is meaningful.
The Comet P-40 is the most widely serviced diaphragm pump in professional softwash work, with diaphragms, valve kits, and seals available as standard stock items rather than special orders.
