This is a factory-assembled pump and gearbox unit pairing a General Pump TSF2021 pump rated at 8 GPM with a PA B31 gearbox, built for 1-1/8" engine shafts. Assembly is done by the manufacturer, which matters more than it sounds — proper alignment and torque between pump and gearbox is the difference between a unit that runs for years and one that develops shaft or bearing problems early.
Gear drive transmission moves engine power to the pump through a sealed gearbox instead of belts and pulleys. That removes belt tensioning, belt replacement, and pulley alignment from your maintenance routine entirely, and it lets the pump turn at its designed speed regardless of engine RPM. For commercial operators, fewer wear points means fewer reasons a machine comes off the schedule.
Important: we strongly recommend adding a pump support bracket mounted beneath the pump. It relieves weight and tension on the engine shaft, and the heavier the pump, the more necessary this becomes. Skipping it is one of the more common causes of long-term shaft problems on gear drive builds.
