A Goulds booster pump rated at 1 HP. Booster pumps solve a specific and common problem on softwash and high-volume jobs: inadequate water supply pressure. When your source can't feed your machine fast enough, a booster brings supply pressure up so your pump isn't starved and cavitating.
Cavitation is what kills pumps prematurely. When a pump can't get enough water, it draws vapor instead, and the resulting collapse of those vapor pockets hammers internal components. If you're running high-flow equipment off a residential spigot, a holding tank, or a long supply line, a booster pump is protective equipment, not a luxury.
