Manual operation keeps the reel simple and eliminates the electrical draw and wiring that come with a powered unit — a practical choice on rigs without a charging system or where simplicity matters more than speed.
Manifold size is the specification that matters most here. A 1" stainless steel manifold determines how much flow can pass through the reel without restriction, so it needs to match the rest of your plumbing. Undersizing the manifold creates a bottleneck that costs you pressure and flow no matter how capable your pump is.
