Belt drive lets the pump turn slower than the engine, which reduces pump wear and extends service life compared to direct drive designs running the pump at full engine speed.
The skid configuration is built for permanent trailer or truck mounting. When planning your installation, keep service points accessible — oil drains, filters, and belt access all need to remain reachable once the unit is fixed in place, and units that get mounted without that consideration become far harder to maintain.
